One year after Richard Serra's death, the Brooklyn Rail, partnering with Gagosian, published a special print issue to commemorate the artist's life and work (the Tribute appears online as well). McCall Associates was asked to design the cover. We created the typeless front- and back-covers, inside and out, using iconic images of Serra and his work, reproduced in rich black-and-white.
McCall partner and creative director Mark Nelson also contributed a personal remembrance for the issue, steeped in the studio's long and and productive relationship with Serra. McCall Associates is honored to be included in this wonderful tribute.
